The forum, to be held from April 23 to 26, 2024 at the Dunia Hotel in Bissau, will be an opportunity to discuss the theme “Conservation, resilience and sustainable development of the West African coastline in the face of global change”. It will thus focus on creating synergy between oceans and communities, highlighting the importance of marine and coastal conservation, sustainable development and resilience in the face of global challenges such as the crises linked to biodiversity loss, climate change and the phenomenon of immigration.
Around 300 participants are expected to attend this major conservation event in West Africa. Leading conservationists from across the African continent and beyond, including decision-makers, experts, environmental professionals, parliamentarians, civil society and others, will lead debates and take part in side events.
